Impotant Information: 

• This is a test and repair service of the customers own unit.
• The customer must send the ECM, Key, and CAS (immobiliser) module for testing / repairs.
• CAS is located beside the steering column
• The Engine ECM is mounted in a sealed ECM-Box (plastic Box) near the firewall, below the windscreen on the passenger side of the engine bay.
• When there is a build-up of leaves and foreign matter at the bottom of the windscreen on the passenger side ,the drain will become blocked.
• When the vehicle is washed, or it rains, water will then run down the windscreen and overflow into the ECM-Box. Eventually the Engine ECM will fail.
• This Drain must be completely cleared and tested for operation.
• The ECM-box (E-BOX) drain also needs to be checked for blockage.
• Upon refitting your repaired or Exchange Engine Module (ECM) it is imperative that you rectify the reason for the water ingress.

Your Engine ECM type can be installed in many different models, with different Immobiliser systems such as DAS2 , DAS2b, Das3, EIS and ESL , WSP. Please see below for your model vehicle and what Immobiliser parts you will need to send down for us to completely run your ECM on the bench.

• Vito 638 - PEC require the ECM, key and immobiliser (WSP) to test or repair
• All C, E, S, SL Class cars will require ECM, key and EIS for testing (see image below)
• ML-Class models up to 11/99 we require ECM, key, Key reader & All Activity Module (AAM) for testing
• The AAM is located in the engine compartment, under the fuse & relay module
• For ML models manufactured after 11/99, we require ECM, key, key reader and Extended Activity Module (EAM) for testing 
• The EAM is located under the steering column
