- Proceed with turning the screw as per pictures below

- Key will turn in Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS / EZL) but will not start
- No dash light when turning key in EIS

- Fault code 9003 - N26/5 ESL / ELV control unit - No feedback during unlocking. The steering is under stress.

- ESL pictured below suits W906 Sprinter ,W639 Vito & Viano, W203 C class / C209 CLK / W211 E class / C219 CLS only
- Insert Key and allow steering lock (ESL) to unlock. Then disconnect plug to ESL (so ESL remains unlocked )
- Proceed with turning the screw as per pictures below
Common Faults:
- Vehicle wont start
- Noisy steering lock
- Key will turn in Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS / EZL) but will not start
- No dash light when turning key in EIS
- Electronic steering lock (ESL / ELV) can not be heard when key is inserted into EIS lock
- Steering wheel can not be turned, even when inserted into EIS
- Fault code 9003 - N26/5 ESL / ELV control unit - No feedback during unlocking. The steering is under stress.
